This is probably the hardest post I’ve ever had to make on my blog. However, it is a necessary post. Yes, I’ve made the tough decision to leave the Freebie trading Industry behind. Let me give you some background behind this decision.

I was talking with one of my business coaches via the phone, explaining to her where I am in my online business and where I was trying to go. She was extremely impressed with what I’ve been able to accomplish, but also extremely concerned about how much I have on my plate, considering what I’m trying to accomplish. We then came to the conclusion that if I am to really succeed, I will need to let something go. There were two options. Either leave the Freebie Industry behind, or the other stuff that I’m trying to accomplish.

This post speaks directly to Freebie Traders. However, even if you aren’t a Freebie Trader, I would encourage you to still read it, because there’s a lot we can learn by looking at how an industry has evolved over time. One of the things I’ve enjoyed doing since I started building my online business is getting to meet new people. Since January 18th, 2008 (the day I started as a Freebie Trader), I’ve met many great people online and have even had the privilege of gaining new friendships that I believe will last a while. As I speak to many of my Freebie Trading friends, there’s one question that I get asked more and more over the last few months: “Is the Freebie Industry Dead?

I wanted to get Kyle on an interview because sometimes we forget how it was when we first started making money online and it’s good to get a fresh perspective. What Kyle has done is not strange. Many people have done the same (and more). While I only made $70 in my first day, I still remember the feeling.

Since I started my blog here at TheFreebieGuy.net, I’ve been able to expand my business significantly. I went from a Freebie Trader, to blogger, to Freebie Trading Forum owner. Not only that, but I have a number of things lurking behind the scenes (you should know that by now). I would NOT have been able to do most of what I’m currently doing if I hadn’t started my blog, and this is something I’d love to share with you.
