Since you clicked that link, let me tell you a little bit of what the site is about, and who I am.
The Very Short version . . .
This is a site created by me (Leslie Samuel), where I Learn and Teach YOU the things I’ve learned about starting, and growing an online business.
Ok, so that’s the short version. Now, lets deal with the Who, What, When, Where and Why.
Who . . .
Leslie - The Freebie Guy
My name is Leslie. I’m an assistant Professor that just LOVES teaching. Really, it’s my passion.
I’m a Caribbean boy that moved to Michigan back in 1997 to attend college. Since then, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Neurobiology. I’ve done extensive research, both in the U.S. and Germany. Anyways, lets forgot about all that academic stuff for right now.
Back in College, I made the “mistake” of reading the book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”. Once I read that book, my life was changed. It awakened a passion within me for business that I never knew existed.
I’m someone who reads extensively. Why? Because I love to learn. Seriously, I REALLY love learning. If you take away my ability to learn, you might as well kill me. That’s probably why I love teaching so much.
Since I started what I’ve done here, I’ve been privileged to have had so many awesome experiences. I’m also a columnist on the Popular Entrepreneurs Journey Blog. You can also keep up with me through what I do over there.
What . . .
This Blog is all about Starting and growing an online business. It’s where I share what I’ve learnt in my pursuit of online success.
You will find:
- Articles: A bunch of articles that deal with Online Business. However, it’s not just that conceptual stuff. I get into the How-to’s of website setup, internet marketing, traffic generation, monetization and other topics related to Online Business.
- The Podcast: This is my podcast where I share more advice and tips for growing your online business, in addition to interviews with other successful Internet Marketers.
- On-going Case Study: This blog will also serve as an online Case Study, on how I’m growing what is going to be the Biggest Biology website IN THE WORLD (at least that’s my goal). In sharing what I’m doing with you, the goal is for you to be able to learn from what I’m doing and take action.
When and Where . . .
In my opinion, this is the best part about online business. It doesn’t matter where you are or when you feel like working. I work on my online business from various part of the world, whenever I want. Whether I’m at home and it’s 5am, or on vacation in Florida, my online business still works for me!
If done the right way, it’s very possible to make sales while you sleep with the automation that can be put in place. It’s a beautiful thing!
Why . . .
When I was in college, I started trying to make money online – mainly out of desperation. I was young, and didn’t know what I was doing.
What happened next was pretty terrible. I ended up losing a bunch of money. It was pretty bad. I lost thousands of dollars – some of which was my tuition money (don’t ask).
So my main motivation behind starting this site is to help others avoid the mistakes that I made, and for them to be able to start on the right foot and accomplish their goals.
There you have it – that’s some of what Learning With Leslie is all about. However, the story is not complete. In order to get the full picture, you need to check back often, because it’s a story that is constantly evolving and improving.
