Hello one and all. First of all, thank you for all that you have done to make this blog what it is today. It is truly becoming the leading blog in the industry and the fact of the matter is that it would NOT be where it is today if it wasn’t for you guys coming here and reading. You can have the best blog in the world, if no one cares to read it, it will go NOWHERE and it will do that fast.
Because this blog has been all about trying to provide you with the best resources I can come up with, I want your opinion on something that I believe will really make this blog even better. You probably know about my Free Mentoring Websites – The ones that I give to freebie traders to help them train their referrals. Well, the thing is, I want to take the mentoring websites to another level. I have a lot of ideas on how I can make them even better, but I believe that you probably have the best opinions on what could make it better for you.
I’m not going to tell you the things I have in mind, but I will tell you this – They are AWESOME! However, I don’t want my opinions to skew the suggestions you might give.
So this is what I want from you. Lets put all of our heads together. I want you ALL to think about what YOUR ideal Freebie Mentoring Website would entail. Think about it long and hard. Let me rephrase this into a solid question: If you were to pay $1,000 for a Mentoring website, what would be the bells and whistles that you would want to be included. NOOO, I’m not going to be charging $1,000. I just want to inspire you to come up with some ideas that are outside the box. I want things that are so AMAZING that they don’t make sense. I want to read your ideas and think – “MAN, THAT’S CLOSE TO IMPOSSIBLE. I LIKE IT!”, lol. Do you get my drift?
My coder will be working on putting together some stuff and I would like to give him a REAL challenge. Of course, I might not be able to do everything. But I am a firm believer that if you reach for the moon, you will end up at least around the stars.

Hi Leslie. I have one of your mentoring websites, and the thing I love about it is that it is step by step, very simple to follow. In putting in a lot of thought into this question, I would maybe like to see something similar to TFX's referral banks. It would be very cool if as newbies complete a site, their new link gets added to the ref banks. Hopefully, if traffic is decent, by the time a newbie is ready to go to method 2, several of their sites are completed by the newer people coming in, and these greens are paid out to the newbie without them having to pay the referral. I started freebie trading 4 months ago, and by the time I went to method 2, all the traffic had dried up and I had to fight for every possible ref I got. It was extremely hard to keep up with trading when the few newbies that were coming in ended up with traders that had the higher Tr numbers. I think that giving back, as all would be doing by contributing to the ref banks, helps all of the new business, which in return draws more and more newbies to trading. It kind of levels the playing field for those of us who have not been trading a long time, so we too can see how good it feels to make some real money at this. LikeYep, it is definitely something you could add. The challenge for me will be making videos to show you what all you can do. When it's released, I will probably list resources where you can learn how to add stuff until I make all the videos to show. It will definitely take some time though to do all the video stuff. But you will basically have the ability to add ANYTHING you can think of, if you know how to. There will only be a few minor limitations, but for the most part, the sky is the limit :)

LikeI would love to see a Live Help section, either in the form of chat or message board integrated into the site. I offer live help to my refs through AOL and Yahoo messenger, but I think providing it directly through the site would add a much more professional atmosphere to the site, and also make the ref feel more connected to the mentor. I found that when you eliminate all guesswork (For instance, the ref having to minimize the window, open AIM, and send the message, as opposed to staying right on the page they're on and type a quick question) you get much more response.
I've e-mailed you about this but I love video tutorials! I think they are sooo helpful, I'd love to see a video tutorial for just about every aspect of freebie trading.
Another suggestion: A way for refs to post proof or at least post a quick "Thanks for the payment" or something like that, this could really help increase the number of refs who actively use the site. and build confidence in the mentor.
My other suggestion, which is the only one that may be a little out there, is to see if we could get some sort of kickbacks from the IFWs for sending them refs through our sites. For instance, if the IFWs could advertise for free, maybe be the "Featured Freebie Site" for a period of time, and the site owner could get a cashout bonus for every ref sent to that particular site. This would need to be developed more fully but could be an extra revenue-earner for the site owners without a huge amount of effort, and also without the up-front costs that some of the other suggestions would involve.
In that same vein, maybe some sort of link to the IFW's support system, so that the mentor could keep a little better tabs on their ref's MCRs and be a little more involved in helping them get credit when they're having trouble. I think this would really set apart the people who have these sites from other random traders on the Freebie trading forums. Again, that would take some engineering but I think it could be a real help, if it is somehow possible.
If I was paying $1000 for the site, these are features I would find to be of real value.

I’ll give you two days. :) Could be troublesome when they vary from site to site or when the P&S change their terms. But it would be a great resource for newbies. People like me spend hours researching before we feel comfortable buying. This would save us “type A’s” a lot of time.
Second, the website must have an integrated blog. Mentees need to have someplace to go to get “fed.” A blog where there are daily posts is a great place to do it. It keep them coming back to your site and its something that can be shared with thousands at the click of a button. Generating new posts will increase visits which will increase revenue – a second source of income outside of FT.
Create some kind of ring or network of sites/blogs that are linked together. Other blogs that I read do a great job of linking back to each other. Again, this helps them generate more hits while providing additional info to the newbie.
I have a couple other ideas but they are proprietary at this point. I’m not going to give you all my ideas… not yet anyway.

That would be Great!!

It should somehow be interfaced with the sponsor so there is still communications, ie. maybe direct person back to sponsor for some of the info. Also it should make reference to the tutoring and rules on FLR and on PPD. No value in repeating that info on this site. Better to guide them to where to look for the info.
Some of the comments above also allude to this approach. The key is to make a solid guide for new people to follow to get through Method 1 and settled into Method 2. Most new people are looking for confirmation they are starting the right way. This could give them this reassurance while still having them bond with their sponsor/mentor.
