So I finally decided to bite the bullet. I’m usually pretty slow to jump on to a new social network. However, I’ve been hearing so much about twitter and how many bloggers use it to build networks and drive traffic to their blogs, so I decided to give it a try. It’s actually quite cool, you can post short updates to your profile and everyone who’s following you can get those updates. It’s quite a powerful concept if used right.
I’m extending an invitation to all of you to join me on Twitter. If you are already on twitter, you know the drill. If not, I’m pretty sure you’ll find it t o be pretty straightforward. My twitter profile is located at www.twitter.com/thefreebieguy.
I have not yet unleashed the power of twitter, but will be starting on Caroline Middlebrook’s Twitter guide. If you want to learn more about it, you can check out her guide. Don’t worry, this isn’t a sales pitch. She’s a blogger (like me) and provides a bunch of free information.

Have you had any experiences using social networking sites? I love them. You’d be surprised at how well it helps people keep in touch. Not only that, but the possibility for utilizing these sites for traffic is almost endless. I would love to hear your experiences below.

LikeThanks Leslie I will look into Twiiter, I do have MySpace. but mostly to keep up with my grandkids. With all the interaction on my space I can see how useful a social network like that could be.

LikeIt can be a powerful tool Stefanomen if used correctly. That being said, it doesn't work for everyone. The main thing is establishing multiple communication channels to be able to access multiple streams of traffic!
