Freebie Industry Rules

September 16, 2008

Freebie Trading

Because the Freebie Industry is a legitimate one, there are certain rules that have been established to minimize Fraud and Scamming. These Freebie Sites make their money by getting people to try offers and need to make sure that the people completing the offers are doing so in a legitimate way. Because of this, here are some rules you HAVE TO abide by if you want to get anywhere in the industry.

1. You must be at least 18 years old
2. You MUST have a PayPal Account. If you don’t have one, you can sign up for one by clicking here
3. You MUST have a valid home phone
4. You can NEVER do the same offer twice
5. You MUST use real contact information
6. You can NOT use a prepaid card, or a Paypal Debit Card.
7. Only 1 account allowed per household. DO NOT let anyone else register from your home, or you will be put on hold and won’t be allowed to get your free gift.
8. AOL and other proxies are NOT allowed. You can find out if your internet service uses a proxy by clicking here. If it says that you are using a proxy, you may NOT use the services.

These companies have mechanisms in place to detect if you break ANY of the above rules. These are fraud detection mechanisms to protect users of the site AND also the companies they represent. This is a legitimate industry and they need to have measures in place so that you don’t get scammed.

Hi Renee. Actually, you do not need a landline for Freebie Trading. I don't have a landline myself. All I use is a cell phone and that is accepted. You just can't use like a VoIP phone. You should be good to go.

I only have a cell phone too. There is no way I can afford to pay for a landline right now, i.e. why I am trying to get into freebie trading (bc I'm strugging financially even with 2 jobs). Do you have any other suggestions for how I can make money online w/o a landline? :(

Unfortunately not. You have to have one of those. Those are the rules.

I do not have a land line only a cell phone, can I still do Freebie Trading?

What do I need to say to my ISP? Business, personal or what?

"Only 1 account allowed per household. DO NOT let anyone else register from your home, or you will be put on hold and won’t be allowed to get your free gift"

What if for some reason the IP changes? The IP I am referring to is the ISP IP. I have a verizon DSL line and a linksys router. My IP hardly changes,, but in a one year period my ISP IP change three times.

Am I out of luck in this opportunity?

Hi Victor. Yes, you need to have a static IP address. I assume that your ISP would allow that if you were to give them a call. You just don't want to take the risk of logging into a site, someone else being assigned your IP and then logging into a site also. That can cause some issues. I had a similar problem in the beginning and it was complicated to get it taken care of. Lasted a few months, and it was on one of the best Freebie sites. So I would recommend trying to get a static IP. However, if you are 100% certain that the IP you had would never be assigned to anyone else, then you might be fine.

No link for the PayPal click here also. Just wanted to report. No reply needed Leslie. ^_^

Geralds last blog post..How to fix bx-XXXX Error when uploading a blogger template

There is no link for Proxy check. I am very interested in trying this out but I dont know what my connection is.

Ryans last blog post..A quick update

Hey, thanks for pointing that out Ryan. I've updated the page and it now has the link :)

Why cant you have a proxy?

Ryans last blog post..A quick update

Hi Ryan, the main thing is that the Freebie Sites rely on your IP address (among other things) to verify some information. Proxies mask your IP address, so Freebie Sites have systems in place to detect that and if they do, they will put your account on hold. The main thing is that they need to make sure you are who you say you are and that there is only one account per household. That's a requirement placed on them by the advertisers. Hope this makes sense.
